What is Comedysportz DETROIT?
Need a new idea for date night or fun with the family? ComedySportz® is improvisational comedy played as a sport in over 30 cities nationwide, and in the UK. We’ve been bringing the funny since 1984. Two teams battle for laughs and points as they make up scenes, games and songs like those seen on "Whose Line Is It Anyway" The audience votes for the winners and a referee calls the fouls. It's the only entertainment that's funny enough for bachelor parties and clean enough for your church or business group.

The Michigan Actors Studio is one of the premier acting schools in the country. Located in Ferndale Michigan, the school offers a full schedule of classes four semesters a year, along with many diverse workshops. A state licensed acting school, MAS also offers 2 year certificate programs as well as private coaching and is the Detroit home of the famed Comedy Sportz Improv Show. Our teachers have worked at of some of the most renowned theatre institutions in the world including: The Actors Studio, The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, The Purple Rose, The Second City, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, The National Lampoon and The Improv Olympic.
